The hinges are 1.57 inches wide and 0.12 inches thick, with a center flex portion of 0.25 inches and sides of 0.66 inches. The manufacturer recommends using two-part epoxy or super glue to attach the hinge to other pieces of plastic, and also advises using a glue that allows for flexing if there will be movement between the plastic and hinge. Customers have exceeded the internally tested weight capacity of 3kg, and use of bolts can increase load bearing. The folded thickness of the hinge is 1/4 inch, and it will spring open unless weighed down. The hinges can also be attached to tempered glass using a strong acrylic foam tape, but customers should ensure that appropriate weight restrictions are followed, although the company cannot offer guidance on specific weights.
