ORIGINAL ENGINE MANAGEMENT Lock Cylinders ILC129 Editorial Review
**** The ILC129 Ignition Lock Cylinder has generated a mixed reception among customers, demonstrating a range of experiences. For some, particularly those restoring older vehicles like the 1976 Mercury Cougar, installation has been remarkably straightforward. One customer highlighted that the replacement process took only about five minutes and was simple enough, requiring minimal tools and effort. This is encouraging news for DIYers or those looking to maintain vintage cars. However, not all feedback has been positive. Several users expressed dissatisfaction with the product's quality and fit. There were complaints regarding its lack of compatibility with specific models and descriptions that could mislead buyers into thinking they're purchasing an OEM part when it is not. This lack of clarity about the product origins, paired with instances of malfunction, has led customers to recommend steering clear of this product in favor of genuine OEM components, like those from Motocraft. Issues such as improper seating in the steering column led to significant frustration, causing some users to feel "duped" upon realizing its manufacturing source. Overall, while some customers found the ILC129 to be a quick and effective solution for their ignition lock needs, the inConsistency in quality and fit raises concerns about reliability. **
