Sports Editorial Review
Anxious People by Fredrik Backman is a novel that tells the story of a failed bank robbery that results in a hostage situation, with a cast of eccentric and complex characters. While some readers found the book to be a heartwarming and humorous reflection on the human experience, others found it disjointed and difficult to get into. The author weaves together many storylines, offering philosophical insight into human nature along the way. However, some felt that the repeated revisiting of certain elements made the novel repetitive. Overall, the book received mixed reviews, but those who enjoyed the book found it a good read, while those who didn't enjoy it found the storytelling style cutesy and annoying.
