BMC FB65420 High Performance Air Filter

The BMC FB65420 High Performance Air Filter has sparked a diverse range of customer experiences, capturing attention for both its performance improvements and some notable installation challenges. Users have reported enhanced throttle response and increased air intake noise when the filter is operational, suggesting that it can indeed boost the driving experience. Additionally, some customers noted that the filter effectively allows for the servicing of both the engine and cabin air filters simultaneously. However, the product is not without its issues. A recurring concern amongst users is the installation process, which many found frustrating due to the tight fit of the filters in the air box. Some users had to resort to modifying the filter’s tabs with a dremel tool to ensure a proper fit, indicating that the design may require further refinement. Furthermore, there have been reports of problems with the check engine light (CEL) and rough idling linked to the oiled filter, which suggests that the maintenance and care of the filter, especially in colder weather, could require additional attention. Overall, while the BMC FB65420 High Performance Air Filter has its merits in terms of performance enhancement, potential buyers should be cautioned about the installation difficulties and the possible implications for engine performance. **
