The Studiologic SL73 is a highly recommended keyboard for the piano-like response, excellent action, and good build quality. It is a great product for road usage and gigging. The SL73 has 73 fully-weighted keys and is adequate for most live situations. The SL Editor, a digital configuration tool, is easy to navigate, but software documentation lacks detailed instructions. The key weight is adjustable in software, and the velocity curve can be adjusted to your preference. The SL73 comes with four pedal inputs for sostenuto, damper, and soft pedals. The aftertouch requires a lot of pressure, and adjusting the sensitivity curve on the Editor software is not granular. The keyboard is sturdily built with a metal frame and feels durable for the gigging musician. However, the power button and control sticks are flimsy and should be more sturdy. Overall, this is an excellent product with a few minor drawbacks. It could use some re-engineering in a few areas, but it is still highly recommended.
