This scanner has the CAN-FD protocol, all-system diagnosis, and 28 resets, making it ideal for both novice and professional users. With Bluetooth, users can walk around a vehicle and check things while still viewing data. The scan tool quickly updates data to give users an accurate report. The Thinkscan Max2 has bidirectional capabilities that offer technicians an extensive diagnostic analysis with ease of use. This speed and the full system scan produced after diagnostics make it an impressive tool. It comes with a lifetime free update for basic diagnostic functions of the full system, full OBDII functions, and 28 common Maintenance features. However, users will have to pay a yearly fee of $49.95 for one-car brand for advanced functions like ECU coding and bi-directional tests. Although it performed perfectly for some users, it failed some in their tasks. For instance, it can not bleed ABS on 2005 Volvo xc90 2.5t or do a quick learn on the TCM in a 2017 Ram 2500 HD diesel. It only went up to 2017, thus incompatible with a 2022 Dodge Charger.
