Moroso Covers Editorial Review
The Moroso 60125 8" Timing Pointer for Small Block Chevy has received mixed feedback from customers, primarily centered around installation challenges, particularly with certain types of timing covers and balancers. Many users appreciate the quality and craftsmanship of the pointer itself, noting that it offers a significant aesthetic upgrade from stock or rusty indicators. However, fitting issues have caused frustration for some, particularly when using aluminum timing covers or specific balancer combinations. Several customers indicated that clearance problems arose, necessitating modifications such as grinding down parts or even completely removing the balancer for installation. While some were able to install the pointer without major hurdles, others found that interference with the balancer made the product unusable without additional adjustments. The main takeaway from customer experiences is that while the Moroso 60125 is praised for its design and manufacturing quality, compatibility with specific engine setups is critical. Users recommend ensuring that the timing pointer is matched appropriately with the type of balancer and timing cover being used to avoid installation difficulties. ###
