It works great with SD cards that are not SDXC and can help speed up boot time. However, some customers have had issues with the pin headers being unevenly soldered, which causes the adapter to not sit flush in the drive bay. There are no mounting holes for the device, but the customer just taped it down. Once fitted correctly with an SDHC card, customers have had no issues.
