Product Description
ICA NT002 NTLABS Nitrite Test for Freshwater Aquariums, Easy to Use, 40 Tests
About This Item
Introducing the NT Labs Nitrite Test Kit - the ultimate solution for monitoring and maintaining optimal water quality in your pond or freshwater aquarium. With this easy-to-use testing kit, you can effortlessly determine the Nitrite (NO2) levels in your aquatic environment. Nitrite is a byproduct of the beneficial bacteria that break down harmful waste, such as Ammonia, excreted by your fish.
While not as toxic as Ammonia, Nitrite can still significantly impact the health of your fish. The NT Labs Nitrite Test Kit includes a test tube and liquid reagents, allowing for accurate and reliable results in just a few simple steps. With enough supplies for 40 tests, you can consistently monitor and address any Nitrite imbalances that may arise. Maintaining a Nitrite level of zero mg/L (ppm) is crucial for the overall well-being of your fish. Any amount of Nitrite is considered intolerable in a pond or aquarium.
In the event that you identify 0.25 - 0.5 mg/L (ppm) of Nitrite, we recommend adding NT Labs Filter Bugs for ponds or NT Labs Filter Starter for aquariums to restore the balance. If the Nitrite level exceeds these thresholds, a substantial water change becomes essential. This Test Kit also suggests changing 25% of the water volume for 1 mg/l (ppm) Nitrite and 50% for levels above this. Additionally, if any level of Nitrite is detected, we advise using NT Labs Zeolite for ponds and NT Labs Aquarium Ammonia Remover for aquariums to remove Ammonia (and thus Nitrite) from the water. Remember, it's essential to check other vital water quality parameters, including pH and Ammonia, if a Nitrite level is recorded.
Regular monitoring with the NT Labs Nitrite Test Kit will help you ensure a safe and healthy environment for your aquatic companions. Shop now and take control of your water quality with the NT Labs Nitrite Test Kit. Don't leave the well-being of your fish to chance - invest in this essential tool for maintaining pristine water conditions.
